"We are a 3 generation family - Grandad, Grandma, Mum, Dad & 2 grandsons. The house was perfect. A downstairs TV kept the children happy with gems etc. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a severe 'low' and it rained every day. However, the Old Boathouse had everything we needed - games, DVDs, videos, music and close to shops and restaurants. Thank you for a lovely stay"

The beautiful decor, the thought and attention to detail....everything we could ever need was readily available, and it could not have been a more comfortable place to stay. There was plenty of space for all of us, beautiful bedrooms, great deck and balcony, the extra bathroom..
Sue and Frank were a delight to deal with, so friendly and readily available to help us book and answer any questions we had between booking and our stay, they even answered our queries over the weekend without any hassle.
The house is in a great location, just a short walk to some lovely places (the food at Cafe brill is simply "Brill"), lovely dolphin point, Fresh fish and prawns (YUM!) and importantly on a girls weekend away, the IGA and the Local liquor!
Needless to say we had an amazing time, and will be making it our annual trip, it's simply too beautiful a place to not return to!
Thank you Sue and Frank for letting us stay at your amazing house, well done on such a great set-up!!!

Their comments include 'was very good'; 'excellently appointed and well designed'; 'the mattresses were very comfortable (we have stayed in holiday rentals were they have not been)'; kitchen well appointed allowing us to enjoy cooking.

I enjoyed the magazines but sadly did not stay long enough to read a book or two. My husband and son spent quality time fishing and paddling up and down the river in the boat provided by the hosts, Sue and Frank. My daughter at first wondered what to do but later enjoyed walking and playing frisbee with me. The Old Boathouse warmly encourages guests to unwind and relax. Definitely a place to stay!

There was plenty of space for us to be together and have areas for those that wanted to be away from the crowd. A great talking point was the history of the house. Frank and Sue provide all the little things you might need whilst on holiday.

It has a sense of warmth without being stuffy and we felt like we could make it our home. The kids had a fantastic time.

Five stars for sure, and plenty of room for all, tasteful and a delight to stay in, with plenty of personal touches, we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back but because of the distance we will have have to stay for longer. We were planning on staying in Ulladulla but this was definitely the luckiest find!

The Old Boat House catered for us with two young kids, and provided us with a lot of quality time together as a family and relaxation.

The canoe was a bonus and we would love to come back.

Just wanted to let you know that "The Old Boat House" was fantastic! Unfortunately I had to work all week but at least I did it in style... The family enjoyed the wineries and surrounding beaches etc. We couldn't believe how well stocked the house was of every a family could possible need to pass the time together. From games to DVD's and a flat plasma screen to go with it. We thank you for a great time and we hope to see you (The house) again soon. :-)

It was tastefully decorated, lots of separate living areas to accommodate different age groups wanting to have alone time.
At one stage we had the adults on the deck having drinks. A couple of young adults in the TV room watching DVD's. A visitors 5 year old playing a game downstairs. Another couple playing board games in the dining room - It was great!
Definitely love to visit again and would recommend the Boathouse to anyone.
Spacious,comfortable,close to the bush, beach and lake - A real family getaway without feeling that you are living on top of each other.
A visit is a must!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic location with amazing deck suitable for colder or rainy days and a a fantastic garden suitable for hanging out in the sun. The beach is only 5 minutes drive and the lake 3 mins walk. Relative to other rented houses it has a FULLY equipped kitchen as well as enough reading material, DVD's and games to keep you occupied indoors when required. Five stars and I'm usually a harsh critic. Recommend getting the linen and towels as part of the package.

I was initially attracted by the high quality of the property's web listing and now that our holiday is over I'm so glad I went through with it. Since coming home I've been able to reflect on just how easy, well organised and helpful the owners made the whole experience, from the time I made the booking to the time we left the premises.
As for the property itself, it has only recently been lovingly restored in every detail both inside and out, and what impressed my family and I the most was just how homely it felt the minute we walked through the front door. The owners have put a great deal of effort and detailed attention into developing it as a first rate guest house, for both adults and children. Apart from relaxing at the house other highlights included the extraordinary local birdlife, kayaking on the lake just 5 mins walk from the house and driving to Milton and Mollymook Beach to enjoy all that both these destinations have to offer. In conclusion I would have no hesitation in making a return visit.

If you have small children that will only take baths, I would bring your own little tub, as they only have showers. But they have lots of toys and games to keep them entertained! A great experience overall.

A very comfortable stay! I loved the fact that the house was so roomy - so even with 6 or 7 people, it never felt crowded. I haven't got a single criticism of the place and look forward to returning one day. Burrill Lake is very pretty. The local Cafe Brill make great coffee as well!

The owners have thought of everything and have generously supplied dvd's, books, games and toys etc for everyone's enjoyment. The gardens and surrounds are well kept. There are plenty of things to do and see in the Burrill Lake area. Great fish and chips at the local fish shop. The late checkout of 4pm on Sunday was much appreciated.
